Competition Rules
To ensure fairness, transparency, and compliance, participants in The Magic Mushroom Cup must adhere to the following rules:
Sample Submission Information:
All samples must be submitted with the completed Sample Submission Form by March 1st, 2025. Late submissions will not be entered in the competition but will still be analyzed, and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) will be provided. If a submission is entered into the wrong category, it will be removed from the competition, but will still be analyzed, and a Certificate of Analysis will still be provided via email.
Competition Categories:
Participants may enter one or more of the following categories:
Psilocybe genus (Cubensis, Tampanensis, Natalensis)
Panaeolus genus (Cyanescens, Cinctulus, Tropicalis)
Psilocybin Extracts (Liquid or Powder)
Hybrid strains are common varieties like Golden Teacher, B+, Tidal Wave, and other new crosses released by breeders.
Landrace strains are varieties collected from nature such as Oklahoma Wild, Ecuador Wild, Texas Wild, and others from around the world.
Mutant strains are varieties found through genetic cross-breeding or cultivation that do not resemble a typical mushroom with a stem and cap (Enigma, Blobs, Coral).
Minimum Sample Amounts:
Psilocybe genus: 3-5 grams (dry material)
Panaeolus genus: 2-3 grams (dry material)
Psilocybin extracts:
Dry extracts: 200 mg
Tinctures: 1 oz or 30 ml
Entry Limit:
There is no limit to the number of entries per competitor. Competitors may submit as many samples as they can purchase through the official link on our event website.
Confidentiality:
Participants may choose to submit their samples using their name, anonymously, or under an alias.
Packaging Requirements:
Participants are strongly advised to use discreet packaging and opt for postage with a tracking number to guarantee reliable delivery. Samples should be sealed in leakproof containers or vacuum-sealed bags with desiccant packs to ensure they arrive at the laboratory dry.
Sample Analysis:
All samples will be analyzed by Magic Myco Labs, an out-of-state psychedelic testing laboratory. Results will be used solely for competition purposes, and each participant will receive a detailed Certificate of Analysis (COA).
Psilocybin and Psilocin are considered major compounds while the following are considered minor compounds: Norpsilocin, Baeocystin, Norbaeocystin, Aeruginascin, Serotonin, Tryptophan, Adenosine, 4-Hydroxy-TMT, 5-Hydroxy-Tryptophan, 4-Hydroxy-Tryptamine, and 4-AcO-DMT.

Winner Announcement:
Winners will be announced live during the Oklahoma Psychedelic Conference on April 12th, 2025.
Legal Compliance:
Participants are responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding the cultivation, possession, and transport of their samples. Event organizers are not liable for any legal consequences arising from participation in the Magic Mushroom Cup.
Non-Refundable Fee:
The $69 Sample Submission Fee is non-refundable and covers the cost of testing and entry into the competition.
Disqualification:
Failure to adhere to these rules may result in disqualification at the discretion of the event organizers.

What is "The Magic Mushroom Cup"?
The Magic Mushroom Cup is Oklahoma's first-ever magic mushroom testing competition, held as part of the Oklahoma Psychedelic Conference. Participants can submit mushroom samples to compete in three categories: Psilocybe genus, Panaeolus genus, and Psilocybin Extracts.
How do I enter the competition?
You can enter the competition by purchasing the Sample Submission Form for $69 through the Buy Tickets tab on our website. After purchasing, submit your sample and required paperwork to our out-of-state testing laboratory for analysis. Each sample submission includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and automatic entry into The Magic Mushroom Cup.
Can I attend the conference without entering the competition?
Yes! You can attend the Oklahoma Psychedelic Conference with a General Admission, Education Pass, or VIP Pass, all of which can be purchased on our website.
When is the event?
12 PM – 10 PM on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 during the 1st Annual Oklahoma Psychedelic Conference!
Where is the event located?
The conference will be held at a location To Be Announced (TBA).
What is the required age to enter the event?
18 years old + (must have I.D. to enter)
Are psychedelics allowed or available to buy at the event?
No. Psychedelic substances will not be for sale and are not allowed on the premises.
What types of tickets are available?
- General Admission ($15): Access to all of our vendor booths
- Education Pass ($35): Access to all of our vendors and all educational classes and hands-on workshops
- VIP Pass ($100): This pass includes access to all of our vendors, educational classes / hands-on workshops, and a swag bag filled with donations from sponsors and donors
Is there a discount for active/retired military or senior citizens?
Yes, we offer a 15% discount for tickets purchased in person with a valid ID at the box office (not available for online purchases)
Are there accommodations for people with disabilities?
Yes, the venue has safe wheelchair access and accessible restrooms
Are service animals allowed?
Yes, service animals are allowed to be inside the event
Are tickets refundable?
No, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
What is the focus of the conference?
The conference focuses on scientific research, integrative therapy, and community building around psychedelics, with an emphasis on education for medical professionals.
Will the education sessions or workshops be recorded?
Yes, they will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube page.
Is there a dress code?
No, there is no dress code. Dress comfortably.
Is parking available on-site?
Yes, free parking is available.
What should I bring to the event?
Bring a valid I.D., notebook, and any materials for networking.
What items are prohibited?
Psychedelic substances, Weapons, and Alcohol.

Are we allowed to leave the building and come back inside?
Yes, you can come back inside as long as you still have your ticket, Education pass, or VIP Pass
